WWE Royal Rumble 2014: 13 Entrants Confirmed So Far

With less than two weeks to go until the Royal Rumble we are starting to hear who will be competing in the main event. Fandango and Wade Barrett are the latest names to be confirmed by WWE for the 30-man epic. The latest announcements will come as reassurance to some fans who had been griping at the lack of talent advertised so far. Many people hold the belief that WWE need to be doing a better job promoting their pay per views ahead of time €“ in the case of Royal Rumble, however, it really sells itself, and this is going to be one of the most exciting matches of the entire year. The drama created as WWE superstars enter every two minutes in an attempt to throw the competition over the top rope is some of the most riveting action that WWE presents, but The news that Daniel Bryan is injured could however throw a serious spanner into the works for creative plans. Bryan has been hotly tipped as a potential winner, and his possible absence could mean a new story needs to be written. Here is hoping that the hugely popular babyface recovers and makes the final entry order. The updated list can be read here - - CM Punk - Batista - Big E Langston - Cody Rhodes - Goldust - Rey Mysterio - Alberto Del Rio - Kofi Kingston - The Miz - R-Truth - Xavier Woods -Fandango -Wade Barrett From this list, Batista and CM Punk have to be considered the early favourites. Let's not kid ourselves though, lots more guys are going to get added to this list with compelling cases to win. The early list of entrants is encouraging. The likes of Mysterio, Del Rio, Rhodes and Goldust are assured workers who will contribute to some good passages of action. Kofi Kingston is now a Rumble spot veteran, it will be interesting to see what athletic wonder he does this year. Big E Langston will also be an interesting performance to watch, WWE are firmly behind a push for the big man €“ he could be among the final combatants. As for Woods, Truth, Miz and Fandango they will feature only as filler for the main guys. The feeling I get about this list is that it does not yet contain the winner of Royal Rumble 2014. With just 11 days to go now until the Rumble, WWE will start adding more names in earnest. The best Rumbles are the ones with several possible winners, and the WWE will no doubt invest considerable creative in building several swerves on next weeks Raw. The rule on TV tends to be whoever looks strong going in will inevitably come up short on the pay per view. This tradition could well be broken though with 'The Animal' Batista returning next Monday and reportedly a hot tip for the Rumble win.
