WWE Scouting Brody King?
The Wrestling Observer say they are...
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE sent William Regal to PWG's Battle Of Los Angeles tournament over the weekend, and he was specifically there to scout Brody King.
King lost to Trevor Lee at the Quarter Final stage of the annual tourney, which took place between 14-16 September. Earlier in the brackets, he had beaten ex-WWE star Carl Ouellet; this was the latest chapter in PCO's renaissance on the indy circuit.
The Observer also noted that New Japan chiefs are interested in Brody after seeing him train at one of their dojos in the United States, but it's believed WWE hold the upper hand in the chase.
At 6'5" and weighing almost 300lbs, King has the size WWE are historically interested in. On top of that, he moves well for such a big man, and that athleticism makes him the kind of flexible worker capable of fitting into the current NXT scene.
Some fans on Reddit pointed out that Regal could have been in attendance to scout almost everyone involved in this year's BOLA. Observer Radio, meanwhile, seem sure the trip was solely down to WWE's interest in signing King.
