WWE SmackDown Debut Wrestlers: Where Are They Now?

14. The Big Show

One of a handful of SmackDown debut wrestlers still with WWE today, Big Show was a force to be reckoned with in 1999. He made one of the most memorable debuts in the company’s history at February’s St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, and as the Corporation’s monstrous enforcer, Show was close to the height of his powers by the time April rolled around.

Show’s Corporate affiliation didn’t last long, however, and he soon joined Test, Mankind, and Ken Shamrock in The Union, a stable who fought the Corporation's cronyism. They lasted just a few weeks before dissolving, and after a much-maligned feud with the Big Bossman, Big Show became WWE Champion by pinning Triple H at Survivor Series 1999.

Show floated in and out of the main event over the coming years, and his star gradually started to lose its shine. Everyone’s favourite crying giant saw his credibility eroded by endless questionable storylines and face/heel turns, and age inevitably started catching up with him. A surprisingly agile monster in his heyday, Show become a slow, cumbersome performer, and someone fans loathed to see.

Today, Show is still technically active on the Raw roster, but he has only made one appearance since July’s WWE Draft. Show recently emerged in public with a new, slimmed-down figure, and with the end of his career finally on the horizon, he’s set to face-off against Shaquille O’Neal at WrestleMania 33.
