WWE: Steve Austin Confirmed To Appear At WrestleMania 30

Stone Cold Steve Austin will appear at WrestleMania 3o. TMZ broke the news before WWE confirmed it on their website. When asked about what his role will be, Austin stated that fans will have to tune in on Sunday to find out. He has also been photographed staying at the WWE talent hotel. This confirmation comes after weeks of speculation that Austin would be involved in some way. The WWE had contacted every major name from the past, but Austin had insisted he would only come in with some exciting creative involved. It will be very intriguing to see what that will entail. It's smart of WWE to reveal his cameo ahead of time, it's another reason to buy Mania for some people. The fact TMZ leaked the news first is further evidence of the developing relationship between TMZ and WWE, who are now regularly co-operating on news stories. That relationship is mostly proving effective and is a smart mainstream move for WWE. The fact that The Rock hasn't been confirmed in the same way suggests he won't be there in person. The Wrestling Observer has confirmed him for a cameo, so it must be some sort of video vignette. He too would have been announced ahead of time if he was coming in live. Austin meanwhile looks set to get involved in a whole host of activities now that he's in New Orleans. He has already appeared on stage with Jim Ross last night and is set to attend the WWE Hall of Fame this Saturday before his big cameo on the main Mania show.
