WWE: Steve Austin Talks About Facing CM Punk At WrestleMania 32

Steve Austin gave a "never say never" response about potentially working with CM Punk down the line at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, this week. The comments came at the Jim Ross spoken word tour coming from the House of Blues in New Orleans. Austin appeared with Ross and fielded questions, admitting he wouldn't rule out a match with Punk in the future. He did however call it unlikely. Still, fans will take the comments as yet another signal that under the right circumstances we could still the dream match of Punk vs Austin. It's a match both men have teased over twitter and interviews in the past. WWE even built into the feud when the pair faced off on WWE cameras. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obJCJa4pJGo Austin has time and time again expressed Punk would be the one match he might come back for, stating an admiration for the talented wrestler. It obviously is unlikely right now because Punk isn't even with the company and Austin is busy with other projects. However, the Rattlesnake continually states how great he feels physically, he always says he's in great shape. Perhaps the WWE will get wind of his latest "never say never" comments about in-ring wrestling and try to put together a match for Punk and Austin two years from now. It would certainly be a compelling lure to get Punk back and with two years to get ready it would be doable for Austin. Austin and Ross also commented that they thought Bret Hart was in the wrong at Survivor Series 1997 and Austin went on to express his own regret at his walkout over putting Brock Lesnar over in 2002.
