WWE SummerSlam Live Coverage - Updated All Night

We've got you covered for the biggest event of the summer!

Live from the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York, it's SummerSlam 2015! Lilian Garcia introduces host Jon Stewart and we're under way! He drops a Beastie Boys reference and hypes up the show. 'I've spent sixteen years talking about politics, it's nice to be back in reality'. WWE? Reality? This is clearly a WWE-scripted intro, then. Huge boos for Cena's name. This crowd is going to eat him alive. Mick Foley is brought out- cheap pops imminent...yup, there it is. They riff with each other for a while and it doesn't really go anywhere. Still, nice to see Foley and Stewart looks up for this. After the customary video package, it's time for our first match... Sheamus Vs. Randy Orton Good choice for an opener. Orton went for an RKO early, but Sheamus bailed and cut a ringside promo and fans looking stupid. Back and forth opening exchange, until Sheamus hits a flying knee drop from the top. He hits two Irish Curse back breakers and doesn't go for the cover. Stupid. Sheamus - 'Are you not entertained?!?'. Not by this feud, no. The crowd chant for NXT's Enzo and Cass. Here come the Oles, as Sheamus hits the chinlock again. Orton's comeback gets them into it. He hits an exploder over the top rope. That was pretty badass, Randall. Orton has a cut on his forehead, causing a little blood. Top rope draping DDT by Orton. Again no cover, but Orton signals for the RKO. Sheamus bails. Sheamus goes for the slingshot shoulderblock but Orton catches him mid-air with an RKO! Sheamus bails to the outside again. Orton instead opts for the punt but Sheamus moves and hits White Noise for a close near-fall. Two Brogue Kicks finish it at 12:14. Started a little slow but really picked up at the end. Winner: Sheamus There's a video about a Draft Kings ultimate fan experience, or something. The fans are sitting ringside tonight. Good for them. Here comes The New Day, wearing some spiffy white and gold. They cut a promo on Brooklyn and their supposed lack of hip-hop knowledge. Big E's dancing is as mesmeric as always but, unfortunately, their opponents are out, leading to our next match. Tag Team Championship: The New Day Vs. Lucha Dragons Vs. Los Matadores Vs. Prime Time Players It's been ten years since the Tag Titles changed hands in NYC (MNM beat Rey and Eddie). Sin Cara and Kofi mess up a hurricanrana but Kalisto gets monkeyflipped into a 450 splash. Wow. Kalisto is on fire, flipping all over the place. Big E kills Darren Young with a splash on the apron. Ouch. New Day take over and isolate Young while Xavier Woods steals the show as ringside cheerleader. Hot tag to Titus, who hits Kofi with a massive boot. He takes out everyone and the match breaks down. One of the matadores nails Sin Cara with a dropkick mid-air on a suicide dive. Woods takes out Torito on the floor. Young takes out Woods before Big E spears him off the apron. This thing's went nuts. First 'this is awesome' chant of the evening. Huge tower of doom superplex but Kofi makes a blind tag and steals it! New Day are your new Tag Team Champions at 11:20! Winners: New Day Backstage segment with Neville, Stephen Amell and Jon Stewart. Smoke fills the room, so you know The Undertaker is near... Dolph Ziggler w/Lana Vs. Rusev w/Summer Rae Ziggler starts with a nice dropkick but misses a corner splash and Rusev takes over. Big bearhug as Rusev shouts some stuff in Bulgarian. I think he said 'this is way too early to go to a rest hold' but I'm not entirely sure. Gorilla press reversed into a DDT by Ziggler. The Show Off comes back with his usual but the Bulgarian Brute cuts him off with a heel kick. Damn heels with their heel kicks. Top rope X-Factor gets 2 for Dolph. He goes for the sleeper, which excites Jerry Lawler. Fameasser gets 2 but Rusev recovers and puts him in the Accolade. Summer and Lana get into their inevitable bit at ringside, Ziggler hits a superkick on the outside and it's a double countout at 11:33. Surely not? They continue to brawl and Lana and Summer need to be pulled apart. Winner: Nobody (double countout) Really cool comic book style video package Amell/Neville versus Stardust/Barrett. Neville & Stephen Amell Vs. Stardust & King Barrett Barrett and Nevill start us off. Neville flips around and now it's Amell and Stardust. Stardust pushes him down but Amell nips-up and boots him in the stomach. Amell flips out of a back suplex attempt and hits a hiptoss. Nice! He hits a leapfrog but gets nailed in the stomach and worn down. Enziguri and a hot tag to Neville. Second rope phoenix splash gets 2. Amell with a plancha to the outside, throws Barrett back in and Neville hits a picture-perfect Red Arrow for the win at 7:38. Wasn't much to this as a match but Amell more than held his own. Where was he during Tough Enough? Winners: The Red and Green Arrows Package of SummerSlam week activities. Putting smiles on faces, etc. John Cena grants 500 wishes and The Miz visits Yankees Stadium. Intercontinental Championship: Big Show Vs. The Miz Vs. Ryback Big Show hits a suplex on both men at the same time and follows it up with a second rope rolling senton on Ryback. Da Big Guy takes over with power moves and hits a surprisingly pretty Superfly splash on Miz. Unimpressed, Show decides to chokeslam Ryback onto Miz. KO punch misses for Show and Ryback does an Ultimate Warrior splash. Shellshock on Show, Miz sneaks in an hits Skull-Crushing Finale on Ryback! Hot near-fall there. KO punch on Ryback, but Miz interrupts. KO punch on Miz. Ryback sends Show over the top rope and covers Miz for to retain the title at 5:32. Well, that was certainly brisk and action-pack. Dunno if it's a 'classic' triple threat though, Maggle. Winner: Ryback Jon Stewart bumps into Paul Heyman backstage and tells him he's a wrestling fan. Not a sports entertainment fan? Vince must be blowing a gasket in Gorilla. He asks Heyman if he was really happy with the streak ending and Heyman responds by singing Brock Lesnar's name. As you do. Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper Vs. Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose Crowd loves Ambrose but are all over Reigns. That is so Royal Rumble 2015, guys. They immediately take the match to ringside where Ambrose runs across all of the announce tables and wipes out Wyatt. Ambrose gets 2 off a top rope standing elbow but gets distracted by Bray and Harper cuts him off. Reigns gets taken out and Ambrose takes a Bray Wyatt senton on the floor. Ambrose takes a brainbuster on the floor and it would appear as though he has a death wish tonight. Ambrose continues to take a beating as Reigns takes a nap at ringside. The fans steal my line by chanting 'Roman's sleeping'. Well played, SummerSlam crowd. Ambrose comes back with the bounce-back lariat. Reigns finally wakes up and is a house of fire. Superkick and a Liger bomb on Reigns by Harper. It only gets two. Superman punches for both and Ambrose and Reigns hit the Doomsday Device. Dirty Deeds for Wyatt and a spear finishes him off at 10:51. Winners: Ambrose & Reigns No sign of an Ambrose heel turn and we proceed to our next contest. Title For Title: John Cena Vs. Seth Rollins Huge heat for Cena and a massive pop for Rollins, as expected. Rollins has switched to all-white gear and it looks, erm...nice. 'John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever Nice'. We start off with some nice wrestling sequences. Jon Stewart must be happy, big wrestling fan that he is. Cena lets the crowd get to him and Rollins takes over with a blockbuster followed by a pair of suicide dives and a front flip plancha. He counters the Cena comeback with a slingblade for 2. They counter each other's finishers and Cena hits an ugly springboard stunner and five-knuckle shuffle. For the love of Stone Cold, please retire that Stunner, John. Rollins with a standing shooting star for 2. Tree of woe double foot stomp gets 2. AA from out of nowhere gets 2. Man, these guys are trading bombs out there. Diving Fameasser gets 2 for Cena. Top rope AA countered into a corner powerbomb and a huge frog splash for 2. Rollins counters the AA and hits his own for 2! That was close. Phoenix splash misses, STF for Cena! That doesn't work so he goes for the figure four. Cute. Seth Rollins hits a seamless superplex followed up instantly with a falcon arrow. The ref is bumped, Cena hits an AA but the ref is down. Jon Stewart is down with a steel chair. He hits Cena in the gut! What the hell is happening?!? Pedigree on the chair! Seth Rollins wins at 20:07! Winner: Seth Rollins Promos for WWE Breaking Ground, Steve Austin podcast with Edge and Christian, WWE 24 NXT, the televised MSG house show with Brock Lesnar and Swerved. Well, I'm excited for at least four of those things. Team B.A.D. Vs. Team Bella Vs. PCB I'd say this is being positioned as the 'toilet break match' after that blistering Rollins/Cena outing but, after NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, I'm not so sure. Team BAD take over early and isolate Becky Lynch. Sasha Banks gets a big pop, because she's a legit BOSS. They chant 'we want Sasha' and you really cannot blame them. Sasha and Naomi hit stereo dives over the top. Nikki and Brie say 'oh yeah?' and hit steroe suicide dives. Paige follows that up with a diving front flip from the top onto everyone. This has quickly turned into one of those mid-90s WCW lucha multi-man matches. Brie Bella hits a Brie Mode on Tamina, eliminating Team BAD. Fallaway slam on Nikki by Paige. Scott Hall approves. Nikki hits an Alabama slam on the floor. Bob Holly approves. That's a hell of a bump for Paige to take there. Brie hits Daniel Bryan's chest kicks as Paige continues to get worked over. The match begins to die down and Paige thankfully gets the hot tag to Charlotte. Flair and Fox boot each other in the face at the same time in a well-times spot. Becky and Brie in. Brie misses a missile dropkick and Becky finishes her with a pumphandle suplex at 14:41. Winners: PCB The announcers plug Mountain Dew and I could really use some as we approach 3am. Cesaro Vs. Kevin Owens Massive reactions for both men. This is going to be good. They slug it out and Owens hits a somersault plancha, the fiftieth of the night. Cesaro retaliates with a gorgeous twisting plancha and a crossbody off the top for 2. Owens with a cannonball on the outside. Everyone's pulling out all the stops tonight. They really are. He hits a couple of sentons in the ring. Those can't be fun to take. They slug it out once more and Owens hits a torture rack neckbreaker. He follows that with a somersault legrop to the back of the neck. Just brutal. Cesaro comes back with some slaps and uppercuts and a top rope gutwrench suplex for 2. More uppercuts but the Neutralizer is, well, neutralized. A beautiful tornado DDT gets 2 for Owens. Misses the moonsault and Cesaro hits a running uppercut but Owens counters again with a superkick! Springboard uppercut gets 2 for Cesaro. Owens powders so Cesaro chases after him and just destroys him with a running uppercut. Big swing but Cesaro gets crotched on the top rope. Super swinging fisherman buster and a pop-up powerbomb later and Kevin Owens is victorious at 14:13. Good match, but the crowd are a little burned out at this point. Winner: Kevin Owens It's time. The Undertaker Vs. Brock Lesnar Lesnar attacks Undertaker before the match officially starts. 'Taker sends him packing. He works the arm and goes for old school but Lesnar catches him in the F5, which 'Taker counters and goes for the chokeslam but Lesnar takes him into the corner with shoulders to the gut and it's suplex city time. Undertaker comes back with snake eyes and a big boot to send Lesnar outside the ring. Brock has been cut open hardway. The apron legdrop makes an appearance. They slug it out and 'Taker goes back to suplex city. We're at five german suplexes. Back to the outside and Lesnar hits an F5 through the announce table! Undertaker gets back in at 9. 'I'll kill you you son of a bitch, come on' - Brock Lesnar. What a glorious man. But the Deadman comes back with a HUGE chokeslam! Tombstone only gets 2, however. Both men sit up and laugh at each other in an incredible moment. Crazy old man Undertaker is fantastic. Lesnar goes for the Kimura in the corner but 'Taker with the Last Ride for a long 2 count. F5 gets 2 for Lesnar. He hits another but again it's not enough. Brock is freaking out now. Hell's Gate countered into the Kimura and the bell just rings. Huh? Charles Robinson admonishes the timekeeper for getting the call wrong and Undertaker goes low. He applies the Hell's Gate and Brock passes out while giving his foe the middle finger at 17:11. How poetic. Winner: The Undertaker The controversial finish will set up a rubber match, probably at WrestleMania. Either way, this was a great match, a massive improvement on their WrestleMania XXX one. Replays show that Undertaker did indeed tap out but the ref never saw it since he was counting Brock's shoulders. Post-match, Heyman gets on the microphone and declares Lesnar the real winner via tapout. So that was WWE SummerSlam 2015, thanks for being here with us. What did you think of the show? Did it live up to the hype or was it a disappointment? What was your match of the night? Let us know in the comments below!
