WWE Super ShowDown 2019: 6 Most Likely Outcomes

The grandest house show of them all...

The majority of WWE's male superstars are preparing to take part in the upcoming pay-per-view known as Super ShowDown. The fourth event of its kind, it follows on from last year's The Greatest Royal Rumble, Super Show-Down and Crown Jewel and, like those, it will be treated with such fanfare that it could rival the spectacle of WrestleMania (in appearance at least).

With some talent refusing to work the event, and the female superstars automatically restricted from joining their male colleagues, the-powers-that-be at WWE have once again turned to the company's legends, icons and veterans to provide Super ShowDown with some much-needed star power.

As a result, long-time rivals Triple H and Randy Orton will renew their decade-old rivalry in a rematch that nobody asked for, while wrestling legends Goldberg and The Undertaker will clash in a dream match that is a decade too late.

Those two examples are proof that, for the fourth time in just over a year, the creative team is incapable of coming up with something that actually makes sense for this new trend of super-sized house shows and, as a result, expectations aren't exactly high.

With that in mind, let's delve into some of the events that are likely to go down at Super ShowDown, and what they could mean for WWE going forward.

6. Lars Sullivan Will Squash The Lucha House Party

In what may be the most predictable outcome of the evening (and that's really saying something considering we're talking about Super ShowDown here), Lars Sullivan is destined to squash the Lucha House Party. Actually, scratch that, he will decimate the Lucha House Party.

The intimidating superstar is in the business of destroying people and, while you would think he'd make a bigger impact if he destroyed a more believable challenger, he has seemingly gone down the predictable route of attacking those he considers beneath him.

We've seen this before, with everyone from The Undertaker to Ryback demolishing glorified jobbers week in and week out throughout the first chapter of their respective careers, and even putting them in front of a team of jobbers didn't make a difference to the end result.

With that in mind, why should we expect anything different for Lars Sullivan? The Lucha House Party hasn't exactly been booked as a team of formidable challengers, given that Sullivan has attacked all three of them on previous occasions already, so that predictable booking will undoubtedly continue here.

Whether it's 1-on-1, 2-on-1, or 3-on-1, it really doesn't matter because the match is always going to end the same - with Sullivan standing tall following a dominant victory.
