The long-rumoured match pitting WWE's Four Horsewomen (Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley) against their MMA counterparts (Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir, and Jessamyn Duke) is back on the cards, and could go down as soon as Survivor Series 2018 (18 November).

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE had considered the bout for the upcoming Evolution pay-per-view, but Survivor Series is a likelier option.

Though nothing is certain yet, Meltzer has heard talk of the bout from several different sources. He concedes, however, that Shafir and Duke's inexperience could be a stumbling point: the former has wrestled just two matches so far, and the latter is currently injured.

WWE had teased the clash during last year's Mae Young Classic tapings, even going as far as airing a backstage confrontation between the two groups. Now, with all four MMA Horsewomen finally under contract, they can think about putting the bout together.

Rousey is currently tearing up Raw, Baszler is NXT Women's Champion, while Duke and Shafir are receiving what Meltzer describes as "rave reviews" for their potential. Them going toe-to-toe with the likes of Banks and Flair is an exciting proposition, so let's hope it happens.
