The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that a number of World Wrestling Entertainment talent are upset with Sasha Banks' promo from this past Monday on RAW.

Throughout the speech Banks hinted at announcing her retirement, and many performers felt that milking the emotion of a career-ending injury was in bad taste.

One veteran brought up the Edge retirement speech from 2011, with others mentioning popular performer Tyson Kidd and the retirement of Daniel Bryan earlier in 2016. Kidd has been out of action for well over a year now, and both he and Bryan are well-liked backstage. Career-ending injuries are considered a sensitive subject among talent, and rightly so.

The newsletter continues by stating that the heat is thought to be on WWE officials and the creative team as opposed to Sasha Banks herself. This wasn't the first time WWE creative have handled sensitive situations with all the subtlety of a drunk bull, and it most probably won't be the last.

The segment itself was more of a miss than a hit, as is the case with most forced emotional segments. The promo has however angered talent more than it has viewers.
