WWE: The Future For The Tag Division

the primetime players

WWE Raw was terrible this week - and had more pointless, "let's fill time" matches yet again. I can't believe Team Hell No are still facing Prime Time Players and more to the point, I can't believe a team as fun as PTP are still losing to Team Hell No. PTPs deserve a genuine lengthy programme with someone, they could, given the right time and backstage segments to develop relationships, become a likeable heel tag team alá Edge & Christian. Same can be said for The Rhodes Scholars, A tag team with unlimited potential and possibly two future World Champions. The Tag Team titles are currently held by Team Hell No, Although I have enjoyed their run immensely its time they gave the titles up. Daniel Bryan and Kane don't need the Tag Team Titles to elevate them to the next level. The logical step seems to be giving The Shield a run with the titles next, which makes sense and will help build with further character development but surely it would be only a matter of time till they lose the titles to the next "Super team". It also brings into my thought something that I'd like to see, but don't think that WWE could do and not screw up - a secondary tag team title. Over the last few years, we've seen an increasing amount of super teams hold the tag titles, which is good because it gives the top guys something to do, but at the same time it leaves actual tag teams looking like chumps and having nothing to hold. I'd really like them to try and bring back the World Tag Team Championship to serve as a secondary, somewhat similarly to how the World Heavyweight championship is secondary to the WWE Championship. Again, though, WWE can barely handle pushing more than one tag team at a time, so it's entirely fantasy.
