WWE TLC Lineup: John Cena vs. Seth Rollins?

We may see Cena vs. Rollins, but Randy Orton could be involved too.

The WWE TLC pay-per-view is set to take place on December 14. It's the last WWE PPV of the year. It's an important show because WWE promoted that WWE Network was free in the month of November, so they have to make sure TLC is a hot show to get those free users to subscribe. There's only one match officially announced after Raw, but thanks to info from the Wrestling Observer and this week's Smackdown spoilers, we have an idea about some of the matches that are planned. If you're wondering, the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar isn't scheduled for the TLC show. However, he is booked for the December 8 edition of Raw that will be the Slammy Awards show. That will likely be be because he's going to win some award and also start the build to Royal Rumble against John Cena. John Cena is expected to take on Seth Rollins. There's a possibility that Randy Orton could be involved, but he may also be held off until after TLC or maybe he will do a surprise run-in during the match. In the Observer, Dave Meltzer said they're trying to finalize plans whether it will be Cena vs. Rollins or adding Orton to it so it would be a three way with Cena vs. Rollins vs. Orton. It could also be a Ladder or Tables match just to fit the theme of the show. Since there's only three weeks of build for this show, it may be smarter to keep Orton off television until after TLC. If they do bring him back before that and the movie commitments are completed then it would be fine to bring him back before TLC. The problem is we've seen Orton in the same match a Cena so many times (it's been five times this year alone) that we don't need to see it again. The only match we know for sure is Dean Ambrose taking on Bray Wyatt in a TLC Match. It's probably not going to be the last match on the show, but it's got a big stipulation on it and is coming after the DQ ending at Survivor Series. It should be a very physical match featuring two guys that love brawling. Ryback is going to take on Kane in a Chairs match. That doesn't sound that great, but it will probably be a win for Ryback over a relatively big name. Dolph Ziggler might go after the Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper. They had a match at Smackdown that didn't really resolve things, so it's likely we'll see more of them. Big Show turned heel and started his feud with Erick Rowan on Raw. That's probably going to be a match at TLC as well. Nikki Bella defending the Divas Title against AJ Lee seems likely as well. Since former champions usually get rematches, it makes sense that AJ is going to get a rematch at the TLC event. Hopefully WWE does a better job of explaining Brie siding with Nikki. The US Champion Rusev needs a feud. It might be Jack Swagger again since that was teased on Raw although hopefully they find somebody else because we've seen that match plenty of times this year. That's seven matches that are either confirmed or very likely. We will update when matches are confirmed for the show.
