The WWE NXT Championship won't be vacant for long.

One of Kyle O'Reilly, Tommaso Ciampa, LA Knight, and Pete Dunne will claim the title tonight, as they meet in a Fatal 4-Way for the gold following Samoa Joe's decision to relinquish the strap due to injury.

Joe made his announcement on Sunday evening. Claiming that he'll be out of action for an undetermined length of time, he said that NXT's new era demands a fighting champion, stepping aside just three weeks after taking the belt from Karrion Kross at TakeOver 36.

General Manager William Regal followed up on this on Monday, confirming that the existing match between Dunne, Ciampa, Knight, and O'Reilly would now be for the belt. The four were originally set to clash in a contendership bout.

Tonight's episode of NXT is expected to host a complete reboot for the developmental brand. WWE has already unveiled a new logo and Wale-penned theme song, with the rest presumably to be revealed when the show hits the airwaves tonight.

Regal provided a taste in last night's video, with the new logo as his backdrop and violet lighting colouring the room.
