WWE Trademarks 'Lady Balls'

No, that is not a typo.

Every now and then, news will leak of WWE looking to trademark phrases, names and other such things that they wish to use in future for financial gain. More often than not these trademarks will simply be the name of a new wrestler and their nickname, such as 'Baron Corbin' and 'The Big Breakfast'.

Sometimes however, WWE trademarks something a little out of left-field. This can pique interest somewhat, a peculiar phrase or name giving a clue as to a future character of direction. Other times however, the trademark inspires much the opposite, an indescribable dread in trying to decipher what the company may be up to now.

Well, chalk another up to the latter, as on May 11th WWE applied to file a trademark for 'Lady Balls'. I wish that was a typo, but it most certainly is not. Speculation as to what the trademark could be for is alive and well, with the obvious being a possible character or phrase. Judging by the history of her on-screen character, Natalya may very well be quaking in her boots right now.

Either that or this will go the way of 'Divas Heels on Wheels'. We can only hope.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
