WWE WrestleMania 31: 10 Matches That Would Make The Perfect Event

The three Shield guys all in the same match, but one other man is going to join them.

The 31st edition of WrestleMania takes place on Sunday March 29, 2015 in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. The actual city is Santa Clara and the stadium is Levi's Stadium where the NFL's San Francisco 49ers play. It's the first WrestleMania to take place in California since WrestleMania 21 in Los Angeles ten years earlier. Since the current WWE product is a little bit stale right now due to the absence of top stars like Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns while the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar is at home until 2015, it's a good time to think about WrestleMania 31 next year. This is not about what I think WWE is going to do. This is about what I would do if WWE gave me full control of what happens at WrestleMania. Since that€™s not going to happen, this becomes fantasy booking and you should remember that as you read this. What's tricky about WrestleMania is there are so many people that aren't currently wrestling that are rumored to work the show or they want to work. Here's a rundown of a few of those big names. Hulk Hogan - Of course he wants to be in a match because he loves the attention. However, he's got so many injuries and at 61 years old, he really shouldn't wrestle. The Undertaker - Nobody really knows. It's possible he may really be done wrestling and that's why he lost to Lesnar earlier this year. My feeling is he takes WrestleMania 31 off, but is enticed to work one more match at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas in his home state of Texas. Sting - He's been vocal about wanting to have a match, particularly with Undertaker. It seems like WWE will bring him in although it won't be until the start of 2015. Steve Austin - It would be huge, but it's unlikely. He's been rumored to wrestle so many times and hasn't had a match since 2003. He's also said recently on his podcast that it's not happening. Don't expect it. Batista - His movie career is keeping him busy, so he may never wrestle again. While he has said he wants to have one more WrestleMania match with Triple H, it doesn't seem likely. The Rock - It's very possible after his interaction with Triple H after Raw a few weeks ago that aired on Smackdown. Then again, that could have just been a fun thing for two buddies to do. We don't really know. CM Punk - He retired in January. There have been no signs of a return. He probably won't be a part of WrestleMania 31. Kurt Angle - I really think he's staying in TNA although I wish WWE brought him back. There are also key injuries to top names like Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns. Bryan's future is in doubt while Reigns should be ready before the end of 2014. I'm going to feature both of them in big matches. With all of that said, here's a look at the ten matches I would love to see at WrestleMania 31.
