In the early editions of WrestleMania, Vince McMahon and his creative team often knew where they were headed a full year ahead of time. Now it seems they're just going with the flow, and hoping some sort of great idea will come to them.

The booking for Mania these days often seems to be set up only a couple months out (if that), which is why there’s many potential possibilities for different matches to main event the show. It's no longer a case of deciding what evil villain Hulk Hogan is going to battle; now the decision is based on trying to juggle multiple world championships, incoming legends and heated mega fights. WWE often doesn't get it right on what match to book to end the event of the year, though it's not always an obvious choice.

Luckily for the company, there aren't as many serious injuries to top talent as there were last year, which gives them more options to work with for the main event. While there’s been plenty of rumors going around as to who is going to work with who, nothing is concrete. The only thing that seems like a lock at this point is Big Show vs. Shaquille O'Neal. No disrespect to those two, but having them main event WrestleMania isn’t likely to send a lot of people home happy. Good thing there are plenty of alternatives.

Here are 10 potential WrestleMania 33 main events.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
