WWE's next special NXT show, New Year's Evil, takes place on Tuesday 4 January 2022, the promotion has announced.

This will go down in the usual 8 PM ET timeslot on USA Network, as confirmed during last night's WarGames show, and forms part of a busy first few days of programming for WWE in 2022.

The market-leading promotion currently has the following scheduled for early January:-

2022 will be the second year running that WWE has hosted an NXT episode titled New Year's Evil, but the first since the black and gold developmental brand was rebooted into NXT 2.0.

The previous New Year's Evil was headlined by a well-received NXT Title match that saw Finn Balor mount a successful defence against Kyle O'Reilly. Elsewhere, Raquel Gonzalez beat Rhea Ripley in a Last Woman Standing Match, Santos Escobar defeated Gran Metalik to retain his WWE NXT Cruiserweight Championship, Karrion Kross outdid Damian Priest in the opener, and Dexter Lumis served as the guest host.
