WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio has been suspended for 60 days following a violation of the the companies wellness policy. WWE.com has posted the following statement on their website: STAMFORD, Conn. In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Oscar Gutierrez (Rey Mysterio) for 60 days effective Thursday, April 26 for his second violation of the company's policy. The two time WWE World Champion had been out of action since last summer recovering from an injury he sustained last year and had also undergone surgery. Rey had expected to return to action around May time but in effect to the suspension his return date is now uncertain. Mysterio won his first World Heavyweight Championship after winning the 2006 Royal Rumble and defeating Randy Orton and Kurt Angle in a Triple Threat match at that year's WrestleMania. Mysterio then lost the Championship to the then King Booker at The Great American Bash in 2006. His second World title reign, where this time he won the WWE Championship was contested on an episode of Raw in July last year. He defeated The Miz but lost the title later that night to John Cena. As stated by WWE this is Myesterio's second violation which is why he gets the 60 day suspension rather than 30.
