3. Firestar

Firestar has almost as much experience as a solo star than with the X-Men and her other teams, so if Marvel opts to drip feed mutants rather than bring them in as a unit, she could be a dark horse.

She originally debuted in Spider-Man, but after the explosive post credit scene in Far From Home, the webslinger might be a bit too busy dealing with his own issues for any superhero team ups. The best we can hope for there is perhaps some legal advice from Matt Murdoch, but there’s obviously some issues with Sony-Disney-Netflix too, so it’s a slim chance at best.

Her powers being radioactive might give her more of an in than other mutants though. There’s been some speculation that Hulk’s gamma infused snap might usher in a new dawn of mutants, explaining why they’re only now appearing in the Marvel continuity.

If that’s the case, Firestar is probably the most emblematic mutant, even if she’s not the most recognisable.

As well as the potential snap links, her power set is unique from what we’ve seen so far, and should be compelling and cinematic if done well.
