4. Darcy Lewis - Thor / Thor: The Dark World

The Dark World feels like the most pointless entry in the MCU to date; it does nothing to advance the story outside of introducing another infinity stone, and the stakes are lower than the average episode of Pingu.

It also introduced a high dosage of sitcom-level humour to the MCU, none of which lands all that well without a laugh track. We already had nude Selvig running around, but the worst has to be the return of Darcy Lewis. The character was in the original and occasionally made some quips, but for no logical reason she’s brought back for more “comic relief.”

Darcy is a grating presence throughout, serving no other purpose than to make stupid comments, which has made her one of the most hated elements of the MCU.
