So far, the Horsemen of Apocalypse make for a total sausage fest. However, there's a rumour that the film will address that point, making at least one of Apocalypse's deadly riders will be a woman. The X-Men aren't short of likely candidates for this Horsewoman. If the part must be filled from the core group of film characters, Mystique is a shoo-in for Pestilence or Famine, but if a new character is chosen, then Singer may well opt for the British ninja with psychic blades, Psylocke, who has been a Horseman in the comics (she was Death, as no one will be surprised to learn). Apocalypse screenwriter Simon Kinberg has gone on record as saying that Singer thinks "she's a neat character so there's certainly a chance she'll be in an X-Men movie some day." Not only that, Psylocke is a personal favourite of Kinberg's, further increasing the likelihood of her appearing. If all else fails, a young Scarlet Witch could even fill in as the Horsewoman. Since her brother, Quicksilver (played by Evan Peters), is confirmed as co-starring in the film, her appearance would pit brother against sister. That would be exactly the kind of setup audiences could understand without the need for much exposition.
