Arsenal Transfers: 5 Striker Alternatives To Wayne Rooney

3. Loic Remy

Another player who has just enjoyed a successful debut season in the Premier League is Loic Remy. The Frenchman only joined relegated Queens Park Rangers in January from Marseille but he's not likely to stick around now that Harry Redknapp's doomed side are toiling in the lower-reaches of English football. When Remy signed for the Hoops back in January, he ensured his contract included a relegation release clause that will now allow him to jump ship for as little as £6 million, which is a complete bargain - and that's exactly the sort of fee Wenger enjoys paying. Except this time, he won't be buying some cheap and dodgy Frenchman like Sébastien Squillaci. Instead, he would be landing a proven goalscorer and what's more a player who has already proven himself in the Premier League.
