1. Current Poor Form Shouldn't Undo All The Good Work That Laudrup Has Done
In this final part of the slideshow, I want to focus on the great work that Laudrup did and give him a bit of a tribute. Swansea have certainly enjoyed a successful period over the course of the last few seasons, this was started by previous managers such as Brendan Rodgers who oversaw promotion from the Championship as well as their possession style of football. Some people may think that Laudrups job after taking over from Rodgers was an easy one after such solid foundations had been laid. However, we all know about second season syndrome and how difficult it is to keep a team in the EPL after that initial first season. The Dane had a fine season that saw them place ninth in the league, and qualify for Europe after winning the League Cup. In the summer, Laudrup was linked with moves away from the club but instead chose to stay loyal to finish the job he started; it must feel like a real kick in the teeth to be sacked with the team 12th in the league. Form of late has been a concern, and I can only assume that he has been sacked due to suffering four defeats from the last six games. However, when you are down there its all about picking up important results when you need it most, and they did that recently when they beat Fulham 2-0. I see no reason why they wouldnt have continued to do that.
