2. Paris Jackson And Jason Statham Will Play The Doctor

The daughter of Michael Jackson, Paris Jackson was - according to The Daily Star - "lined up" to become the Twelfth Doctor, taking over from Matt Smith at the end of 2013.

This rumour circulated before Peter Capaldi ultimately won the role, and despite Paris being only 15 years old at the time (far too young to take on a role of this magnitude) and despite her having very little acting experience, this story was reposted on a surprising amount of sites - even credible ones like The Huffington Post.

This whole thing stemmed from a now-unavailable tweet in which Paris stated "OMG I wanna be the Doctor", which, clearly, we all should've taken really seriously.

According to The Daily Star, Paris' agent was going to make her a "major star" like Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz, allowing her to step out of her father's shadow.
