Doctor Who: 8 Reasons The Master Is Definitely Coming Back

7. Series 8 Is Returning To One Of The Master's Old Haunts

The news that Doctor Who will be filming in Lanzarote hasn't gone unnoticed by the Whovian community. The last time the show was at that location was to film the Fifth Doctor story 'Planet Of Fire', an episode that saw the departures of companions Turlough and Kamelion, the arrival of Peri and the Doctor's nemesis, The Master. The filming location could be completely coincidental. The volcanic landscape might be the setting for a prequel / sequel to the Tenth Doctor episode 'The Fires of Pompeii', which featured none other than Peter Capaldi himself as Lucius Caecilius. Steven Moffat has alluded to the fact that he will address why the Doctor wears the face of a man he previously met. Alternatively, it could just be the perfect place to realise an alien planet visited by the Doctor and Clara on one of their many adventures, But what if the Doctor is making a return trip to the planet Sarn? The events that took place there may not have been the last confrontation between the Doctor and the Master but things were left in a bad place as the Fifth Doctor left his nemesis consumed by flames. If the Master is back and looking for revenge, than this incident will be remembered as one of the worst in their tumultuous history.
