10 Biggest Misplaced Complaints About WWE Today

4. The Hall Of Fame Is A Joke

The WWE Hall Of Fame’s importance is greatly overstated by its biggest critics. Its lack of clear entry criteria, swathes of questionable inductees (Drew Carey, Koko B. Ware), and hordes of glaring omissions (Owen Hart, Bruiser Brody) make it an easy target for derision, but ultimately, complaining about it is a complete waste of time.

The HOF really doesn’t matter in the grander scheme. Sure, it’s a nice acknowledgement of a wrestler’s contribution to the industry, and the inductees no doubt treat it as a great honour, but it has next to no bearing on a wrestler’s legacy. People will recognise and celebrate Owen Hart’s incredible career regardless of whether he makes his way into the HOF or not, and while he definitely accomplished enough to warrant a spot, his place in history is already secure without it.

The ceremony itself has become content filler, and the inductions are completely arbitrary. Joining the HOF is dependent on Vince McMahon’s opinion on a wrestler, regardless of their accomplishments, and getting annoyed by it really isn’t worth the energy. It’s little more than a dog and pony show at this point, and one that should be kept at arm’s length.
