10 New Directions For WWE After Night Of Champions 2026

9. Jade Cargill Going To Flair Country Cold

It was a major surprise that Jade Cargill didn’t take the Women’s United States Title from Tiffany Stratton at NOC. Unfortunately, that sends her into a surefire bout vs. Charlotte Flair ice cold even though Flair cost her over in Saudi. So, to recap, Cargill was clowned by Chelsea Green on SmackDown before getting some heat back in an actual match, then lost when it counted here.

Hmm, shouldn't anything before the Flair match have been laid out to help not hamper her?

Also, zero desire to see these women wrestle ever again, to be honest. They’re the new Tiffany and Nia Jax after matches in 2025 and 2026, and there just isn't a lot of chemistry there. If nothing else, at least Stratton meshed well with Jax in-ring - that hasn't been the case with Cargill whether they've gone babyface vs. babyface or babyface vs. heel.

Some aura just came off Jade in Riyadh, being brutal about it. She'll point the finger of blame at Charlotte for smacking her with the US Title, and might even want to rag doll Green around the place again for getting involved, but the truth is this: Cargill seems less-than coming out of WWE's latest PLE.

Shenanigans or not, she lost to Tiffany (who hasn't exactly been featured as a tippy top star herself for a while) and didn't come through on her promise to win gold. It'll take some effort to get her hot again on episodes of SmackDown between now and early-August if the Flair 1v1 is happening.
