10 WWE NXT Main Roster Call-Ups That NEED To Happen In 2026
4. Joe Hendry
Say his name and he appears...on the main roster? Joe Hendry already has, multiple times.
WWE clearly likes Hendry a lot. He was given a special spot in the Royal Rumble, wrestled Randy Orton at WrestleMania, was involved in John Cena's retirement, and keeps being treated like a star the Raw and SmackDown fans should be familiar with, as opposed to a rare treat random NXT guest appearance.
Unless the plan is for Hendry to be a focal point to draw those fans into NXT and for him to fill the void when some others (like Williams, Femi, etc) leave as the new definitive top guy of the brand for the entire 2026, WWE should take advantage of his gimmick not yet being considered old news and use him on the main roster while they can.
Comedic roles like this that are very meme-based have a shelf life. Most likely, if he stays in NXT another entire year, the joke could be old and there will have been so many missed opportunities for interactions with the true top of the line talent.
Let's see Hendry work with The New Day, Seth Rollins, and Logan Paul, rather than strictly be a thorn in the side of DarkState for 12 more months.
