5. Kevin Owens + Sami Zayn (Vs. Each Other, ROH, 2012)

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn - or, Kevin Steen and El Generico, as the hipsters know them - share a long history of great matches, both as a team and against each other.

It was their half-an-hour ladder match at ROH's Final Battle in December 2012 that has always stood out from the collection though, mainly for its blood-curdling chops and some of the most elaborate ladder-based spots you'll ever see.

This was a match so brutal, in fact, that - in the official promo material - Ring of Honor refer to it as a "Ladder War", which is appropriate given that Zayn nearly died, and both men are probably still receiving treatment for symptoms of PTSD.

Put it this way: it's unlikely they'll ever get the chance to replicate this one in safety-first WWE.
