6. Vince McMahon Shoot Fighting Dana White

The streets remember Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker having a tense confrontation at UFC 121, but what you might not know is that this turned into a ludicrous suggestion from one Vince McMahon (who else on a list like this?!). Y'see, WWE had kinda gone behind UFC man Dana White's back by having 'Taker and Brock tease more business.

Cain Velasquez beat Brock to win the UFC World Title that night, but all the media could talk about was why Undertaker was in the house starting beef with Lesnar. Once it became clear that Dana had no intentions of letting Brock juggle his MMA commitments with some pro wrestling over in WWE, McMahon took his shot.

He literally pitched that Vince vs. Dana would do bumper box office...in a shoot fight.

What's more, McMahon wanted to promote this fight at WrestleMania XXVI. White, recognising that he had nothing much to gain other than money he didn't need, said no. Vince kept trying to goad him into it with typical bluster, but Dana wouldn't fold. There was no way he was signing anything that put him in the ring for a very real scrap with the WWE figurehead, especially not on a platform McMahon would benefit the most from.

Vince was programmed against old 'Montreal Screwjob' rival Bret Hart for 'Mania XXVI after that. Their one-sided match will forever be remembered as one of the worst received in WrestleMania's rich history, but things could've been much worse had McMahon and Dana White been trading fisticuffs in Arizona.
