Oh yes, this is a bit of a mental swerve for the dude writing this piece. Previously, he'd said that Trick Williams had to win the gold over the weekend. It wouldn't be a disaster if he did, but he doesn't need to. The most important thing for Trick Willy is that he turns babyface and continues building bridges with the hardcore fanbase.

That's a bigger deal to him than a US Title run, to tell the truth. So, again, it's not a problem if WWE fancies shoving some gold on Williams (and that would give Sami even more of a reason to get steaming mad/flip out), but it isn't quite as essential as this fan thought a few days ago. The power of letting things settle, eh?

It might actually be for the best if Zayn's maliciousness prevents Trick from winning as easily as most reckon he will. Sami could turn his fire onto the audience by saying they all want to see Williams and his "lemon pepper steppers" holding that belt, but he's worked too hard and too long to let some arrogant sod from NXT just walk in and take his prize.
