10. Drew McIntyre Returning As A Face

WWE’s core audience really respects Drew McIntyre for everything he’s achieved, and there’s a general sense that he’s been screwed over or at least overlooked by management once too often. That stretches all the way back to Clash At The Castle 2022 when he lost to Roman Reigns in Wales. The fanbase appreciates Drew's patience, and they've invested in his personal story.

A babyface comeback could be in the works after a layoff to film Highlander and McIntyre resting up. All going well, that should coincide nicely with a heel turn for some other top WWE stars, which would hit the refresh button on Raw and SmackDown heading into the rest of the year. Best of all, there'd be no rush to get Drew back on telly.

He can take all the time in the world; live crowds would only yearn to see him more and more the longer he's out. That's a privileged position to be in for the Scot. It'll help him sleep easier at night knowing the monster, Triple H in 2002-style pop that's awaiting him once he's ready to show face yet again.

Imagine McIntyre vs. Punk's blood feud rekindling but with both guys on opposite sides of the babyface/heel divide?! Or, how about Drew vs. Cody with McIntyre playing the hero role on this occasion? WWE knows they can stick Drew in their back pockets for now and concentrate on building up some newer names.

Then, when the time is right, he can burst back into view as a stunning, organically popular face.
