It's hard to sympathize with a character that shakes off treachery and deceit with a detached smile, which is one reason why Reigns, through all of his 'obstacles', has yet to really win the crowd to his side: what do they have to gain in seeing him finally win the big one? Well, he won the big one, upending Ambrose in a tournament final to become the new WWE Champion. After spearing Triple H during his celebration, Reigns dropped the belt minutes later to a briefcase-toting Sheamus, which for most fans is hardly the lesser of two evils. When Reigns lay in mental anguish on the mat, the idea seemed to be to try and earn him some sympathy cheers. Instead, Reigns earned mostly indifference, for both his win, and his loss.
