10. The Undertaker Retires In Front Of Nobody

Granted, The Undertaker got to appear in front of fans at the 2022 Hall Of Fame, but his official retirement at the 2020 Survivor Series was ridiculous. What was the point if fans weren’t even allowed to be there?! This entry could end here, because WWE didn't really put on much of a fuss at the tail end of the closed door/ThunderDome era.

'Taker is one of the company's greatest creations, but all he got was bowing out in front of some TV screens with a ragtag bunch of peers who laughed and offered nothing else of note. It was a strange group too. The Godfather, Mick Foley and Big Show made sense, but Road Dogg? Shane McMahon? Sorry, Shane-O, that Hell In A Cell match at 'Mania 32 didn't qualify you for this.

Seriously though, the main issue with Undertaker's retirement bash was that it just felt so lowkey and forgettable. Vince McMahon introduced a video package for him, Paul Bearer was shown, there was a 10-bell/gong salute, and 'Taker cut a brief promo saying it was time for him to rest in peace, and that was it.

WWE's hands were tied by the lack of natural ambience and Undertaker's hesitancy to wrestle again, but surely they could've come up with something a bit more fulfilling than this rubbish. One didn't come away from Survivor Series thinking, 'Well that was a fitting way to bring the curtain down on such an iconic character after 30 gruelling years'.

They really should've held off on this, anniversary of his debut or not.
