3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (12 Oct - Results & Review)
1. Better?
We’ve reached the point with the 946/Bloodline Gang Wars that something that is less bad actually might rate as an “up,” simply because everything that preceded it was so incredibly terrible.
This, however, is not one of those instances.
Getting this feud in the ring was almost automatically going to merit a “down” because it was so absurd to think that after weeks of increasingly cartoonish violence, these guys were suddenly going to grab a headlock and obey tag rules.
And for a few minutes, that’s exactly what happened… until Jaida Parker pulled the referee out of the ring (the same ref that Raw GM Adam Pearce recruited to keep law and order) and laid him out. This allowed OTM and the Usos to brawl into the crowd, and Jey to dive from the seats, and then for Parker to follow suit.
The highlight of the match has to be Solo Sikoa firing up as a babyface on the apron, begging for a tag from his brothers… the same guys he has fought against all year and still refuses to join. But even that has to be taken with a grain of salt, as Solo was charting a path standing on his own two feet against the Bloodline, and now he’s suddenly Bloodline-adjacent, seemingly going along to get along with the same heels that tormented him for months.
The suggestion that this was going to be an actual wrestling match (that originally was booked as an elimination tag and then that stipulation was ignored) and ended with a non-finish after a masked figure (Carmelo Hayes) attacked the Bloodline with a crowbar is emblematic of how ridiculous this entire feud has been and continues to be.
