3. Solo Dolo Gets The Night Started
The fact that Solo Sikoa opened Raw by cutting Michael Cole off ten seconds into the in-arena opening merits an “up” on its own, but the sharp-dressed Samoan earned his positive marks in a solid exchange with older brother Jey Uso.
Sikoa called out the Bloodline for taking out Royce Keys, and Jey answered, telling his baby brother to “fall in line” and join the family. Solo turned it back on Uso, asking him, “How did that work out for you?” He pointed to Jey’s 2025 run from the Royal Rumble through WrestleMania 41, noting that fans were just happy when they heard his music, and “now all that crap’s out the window” because he’s running the Tribal Chief’s plays.
The two bantered back and forth a bit before Jey issued the challenge for later Monday night, with Jey issuing his warning shot, and Solo ducking it… and then looking around and asking the fans if anyone was hit. Good stuff.
Letting Solo be Solo has worked incredibly well, and it’s lightened up a gloomy and dull Bloodline 2.0 that has struggled to reclaim the heights of its 2023-24 run. While it might be completely inadvertent, Sikoa is also exposing how utterly ridiculous the entire Bloodline shtick is: the jargon, the hierarchy, the inter-family drama, and the deferral to the Tribal Chief.
That in itself is another positive, because asking fans who sat through the first iteration to just buy the sequel as a straight do-over or continuation is a bit too much.
