4. Messy, But Moving Forward
There’s an expression: if you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bulls**t.
In the wrestling world, if you can’t impress fans with a solid, cleanly worked match, wow them with chaotic action.
Sol Ruca and Iyo Sky battled the Judgment Day in a tag match that just kept driving forward with action, even when things slightly faltered or threatened to fall apart. The faces kept coming with their up-tempo attacks, with the match breaking down into a pier six brawl a couple of times.
The finishing sequence saw Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez nearly put Iyo down with a slingshot suplex/moonsault combo, only for Sol to save. From there, the fight awkwardly spilled to the floor for a bit. Back inside, Perez went for Pop Rox, only for Ruca to flip out of it, stun Roxanne and finish her with the Sol Snatcher.
The match itself was sloppy at times, but it kept the fans invested and never stopped moving. That in many ways covered for the messiness – you didn’t have time to really dwell on something being a bit awkward because they were onto the next spot.
