7 White-Hot Wrestlers That BURNED OUT Overnight

3. Enzo Amore

Enzo Amore and Big Cass are still in the conversation when debating the most popular act to ever appear in NXT. Their intro featured the loudest and most enjoyable WWE chant-along since The New Age Outlaws, and their 'little and large' double act drew a fanatical response wherever they went. Things started great on the main roster, with the pair having an unforgettable Raw moment with The Dudley Boyz, before Vince McMahon eventually split them up.

Enzo Amore was being used as the antagonist of the Cruiserweight division, but rumours of his obnoxious backstage behaviour grew louder with every passing week. He then faced sexual assault allegations in January 2018, which WWE suspended him for immediately. When it transpired that the allegations had been going on for months, WWE fired Amore for not letting them know he was under police investigation.

Those allegations were later dropped, but Amore had already hindered a WWE return with his insane actions at the 2018 Survivor Series in Los Angeles. He bought a seat in the first few rows on the camera side of the audience and tried hijacking the show by coercing the crowd to join in with his signature intro, before being escorted out by security.

Rumours continue to circulate that Amore might return to WWE, with Big Cass currently back on Raw.
