Rookie Steven Borden made his grand return on this past Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite. It was his first appearance since a terrifying scare during All Out on 26 September. There, Borden's tag-team bout was stopped amidst fears that he was seriously injured.

Now, he's back in the mix.

What's more, Borden has put his name in the hat for Blood & Guts - he's set to team with Will Ospreay, Adam Copeland, The Young Bucks and Darby Allin vs. Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle.

AEW's next big double ring stunt show is set for the 4 November episode of Dynamite in Jacksonville. It'll be the sixth Blood & Guts event following the concept's debut back in 2021.

Borden was recently taken out on a stretcher after smacking the back of his head hard on the canvas during a mid-air collision spot gone wrong. There were genuine concerns that he'd be out for a long time, but that isn't the case. Sting's boy is back and raring to go.

Obviously, there will be some worries about placing someone with such little experience (Steven has worked just 36 matches to date) in a high-pressure gimmick match like Blood & Guts. There will be a lot of moving parts, so here's hoping AEW keeps things simple enough for Borden.

The last thing he needs is to do anything reckless and end up on the injured list again. Plenty of brawling and a few carefully curated spots would be more than enough for the guy.
