Injury Update After All Out Match Was Stopped (AEW News)

After a scary incident at AEW All Out last night, there's now an update on the status of Steven Borden.

At All Out, Borden teamed with Darby Allin to take on Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight in a match where the winners would become the new number-one contenders for the AEW Tag Team Titles. Unfortunately, that match was called off after roughly 13 minutes following a collision between Borden and Knight.

With both men perched on opposite top turnbuckles, they dived at one another in a way similar to Ricochet and Logan Paul at WWE Royal Rumble 2023. For Steven Borden, though, he landed hard on the mat, seemingly hitting the back of his head. From there, referee Bryce Remsburg immediately checked on Steven, which was followed by Doc Samson doing the same, as the quick decision was made to call the match off. While the AEW cameras moved their focus away from Borden as he was tended to, fan footage on social media shows the second-generation star being stretchered to the back, and the commentary team would later say that Steven had been taken to a local hospital to be assessed.

Speaking at the post-All Out media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan provided a positive update on Steven Borden, saying that he was awake and responsive at the hospital, had a CT scan, and that all tests have come back "good". All being well, the hope is that Borden will be able to travel home later today.
