After a few weeks of teasing his return, Big Cass is now officially back in WWE.

While those teaser vignettes meant it was no particular surprise to see Cass appear on last night's Raw, it was maybe a little surprising to see exactly how he made that return.

With questions over whether Big Cass would return with his old running buddy Enzo Amore, whether he'd be part of a tag team or a singles act, whether he'd be a babyface or a heel, the seven-footer made his mark last night by attacking Je'Von Evans.

After Je'Von had picked up a win over Ethan Page on Raw, Big Cass slid into the ring and interrupted the Young OG's celebrations by hitting him with a big boot and the East River Crossing. A later backstage interview with Jackie Redmond saw Cass say it was nothing personal against Evans, that he's here to pile up the bodies, that Je'Von was the first of many, and that he'd struggled for eight years to find his way back to WWE.

Whether Big Cass is here to decimate everyone and anyone, babyface or heel, this initial return certainly sets him up as a heel, particularly given how beloved a babyface Je'Von Evans is.

As for Enzo Amore, much like in those teaser vignettes, Smacktalker Skywalker was nowhere to be seen, despite previous reports that he was also on his way back to WWE. Of course, an Amore return could always happen down the line, but for now, we've got a dominant, serious, mean and nasty Big Cass looking to go on a tear through the singles ranks on Raw.

Going by Big Bill, Big Cass had most recently been with AEW, teaming with Bryan Keith mostly on Ring of Honor. With just two AEW matches to his name this year - both of which were on Collision - reports started to surface a couple of months ago that the big fella's AEW deal was coming up, and that a WWE return seemed likely.
