Former AEW Champion Set To JUMP SHIP To WWE (WWE News)

The grass will be greener on WWE's side for this now-former AEW star. It'll be money green!

Big Bill
AEW

Fightful Select reports that Big Bill has given AEW chief Tony Khan his notice and will soon jump back to WWE for a nostalgia-fuelled tag-team revival with old partner Enzo Amore. It's believed that WWE had been holding off on signing Amore until Bill, who'll revert to his Big Cass name, "was free and clear" for the move.

All systems go.

Fightful had actually reported on this months ago, so this won't have come as a huge surprise to Khan or anyone else within All Elite's framework. The site noted that "this has been in the works for quite some time". It's clearly something WWE bosses want to run with, and it'll be interesting to see where Enzo and Cass land - Raw, SmackDown or maybe even NXT.

The team cut their teeth on the latter before exploding with popularity once they hit the main roster. Vince McMahon's booking didn't exactly capitalise fully on that connection with the audience, then the duo split before a failed singles heel run for Cass and some awful allegations against Enzo changed everything.

By 2018, both men were out of the company and doing other things. 8 years on, they look like they're back (and you can't teach that...sorry!).

Bill/Cass has spoken in the past about how personal problems and his own immaturity wrecked a promising WWE singles push, but he's in a much, much better place nowadays and will be keen to make up for lost time with Amore.

Brace yourselves for some interactive promos and a big pop.
