Exact Date When Chad Gable's WWE Contract Expires
As it stands, Chad Gable will become a free agent VERY soon.
Following recent reports that Chad Gable's existing WWE deal is due to expire at some point this month, there are now more specific details on the end date of Gable's current contract.
Speaking on his SRS Backstage Report, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp said the 38-year-old's deal is up this coming Friday. As such, that would make the Alpha Academy leader a free agent in just a matter of days as things stand.
Of course, Gable is factored into WWE storylines in a significant way right now, enjoying the biggest push of his career as he chases Sami Zayn's Intercontinental Championship following a heel turn in the aftermath of WrestleMania 40.
Sapp notes how the Olympian has "an awful lot of leverage" at the moment, and he's expected to have plenty of interest outside WWE should he ultimately not re-sign with the market leader for any reason. It's also not known whether WWE has actually made an official extension offer as of yet, although the company is clearly keen to keep the former American Alpha man.
Chad Gable is just the latest in a long line of WWE talents whose contract status has been in the news lately, with Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor some of the names to recently pen new deals with the promotion. On the other side of that, Ricochet and Natalya are two stars with expiring deals and no extensions agreed upon, and Becky Lynch became a free agent over the weekend - with the Man believed to be taking an extended break from the ring with the expectation she'll eventually sign a new WWE contract.
