With their previous deal expiring, this former World Champion has re-signed with WWE.

With several top stars' existing WWE contracts set to expire shortly, one person who's now signed a new deal with the market leader is Finn Balor.

The Judgment Day man is one of those whose WWE deal was up at some point after WrestleMania XL, and he took to X to note how he's penned a new contract.

Per Fightful Select, the one-time Universal Champion has signed a long-term extension, which falls in line with previous rumblings that WWE was looking to tie Balor down on a multi-year, big-money deal.

As one would expect, Finn Balor was a name AEW was keeping an eye on as they continue to track those stars who are in or entering the free agency market.

Having made a name for himself in New Japan Pro-Wrestling - being a founding member of Bullet Club, no less - as Prince Devitt, the Irishman signed with WWE in 2014, initially as part of the NXT brand. One of the hottest acts of some of NXT's hottest days, Balor would be drafted to Raw in 2016 and remarkably win the Universal Championship barely one month later at that year's SummerSlam.

Of course, a shoulder injury in that SummerSlam match against Seth Rollins would halt Finn's momentum and lead to a few years floating in and around the midcard and occasional main event spot. More recent times have seen Balor back as a top act and featured player on Raw as part of the aforementioned Judgment Day.
