Ranking Every WWE WrestleMania Main Event - From Worst To Best

9. Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle (WrestleMania 19)

Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle are two of the greatest athletes to ever make the transition to becoming pro wrestlers. One an NCAA champion, the other an olympic gold medalist, Lesnar and Angle became two of the most recognizable WWE superstars of all-time. Given their shared skillsets, it stands to reason that their match in the main event of WrestleMania 19 is an absolute classic.

The lead-up to the match was a little shaky, with too much of WWE Champion Kurt Angle and Lesnar's feud surrounding Team Angle's Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, and a ridiculous Smack Down match between Angle and Brock in which Kurt switched places with his brother Eric. Thankfully, all of these sidemen were banned from ringside for WrestleMania, leaving two of the most naturally gifted in-ring performers to ever grace WWE to go one-on-one.

Most of the attention for this match goes to a horrible moment for Brock, in which he attempts a Shooting Star Press from the top rope and lands on his head. This is just one moment in a wrestling clinic however, and their WrestleMania 19 classic should be remembered for being a sensational pro wrestling encounter, won by Brock, who managed to overcome the agony he must have been in to finish the match by pinning Angle with his third F-5 of the night.
