It turns out that a sweeping COVID-19 outbreak doesn't make for an efficient professional wrestling creative process. Who could have known?

A new report from PWInsider's Mike Johnson states that WWE were still putting the script together just after 7 PM Eastern. This would be less than an hour before Raw went on the air, with the outbreak seemingly playing havoc with the company's show-day organisation.

This is, of course, 100% understandable. The outbreak has hurt not only WWE, but AEW and Impact Wrestling as well. A positive test result forced WWE Champion Drew McIntyre out of a match with rival Randy Orton, which would have likely taken up a significant chunk of show time, while several wrestlers were made to pull double duty between the ropes, which may be a consequence of less wrestlers being available due to the outbreak.

Even Triple H stepped into the breach, "fighting" Randy Orton in the night's main event.

Here's hoping that the people impacted directly by the recently pro wrestling outbreak are doing well, and that they all make a full recovery. McIntyre's name is the only positive test result to be released thus far.
