Sol Ruca Considering New Finisher After Recent Sol Snatcher Botches (WWE News)
WWE's Sol Ruca is weighing up a secondary finisher.
WWE's Sol Ruca may be getting ready to add a new finishing move to her arsenal.
Appearing on Huge Pop (via f4wonline), Ruca revealed that she might introduce a secondary finisher in the future, away from her patented Sol Snatcher, partly due to fans not biting on other false finishes as they await the Sol Snatcher.
As the former Women's Intercontinental Champion explained:
"I feel like it's all about everything else that you do in the ring and with the emotion that you're putting behind it, because, yes, sometimes fans might not bite on a falsey that I do with someone because they know it's not my finish. However, if you put the emotion behind it, if you're pinning the person like, 'This is it,' and then they kick out and your face changes, I feel like that's how they bite into it. It doesn't always have to be my finish in the my mind, and that's kind of what I'm working towards more, is working on those characters bits and those facial expressions so that people aren't just watching and waiting for the finish."
Sol added:
"I think if I were to have a secondary finish, it probably has to be something that's not high-flying, maybe a submission or more of a power move, because I do think that my finish, I don't know if I could top that, at least not right now. Unless I can think of something else. But for now, I think this is gonna be my sole finish for a little bit."
With the Sol Snatcher, Sol Ruca has one of the most impressive finishing moves in WWE and beyond, with it a move that's constantly caught the eye since Sol first introduced the move in her early NXT days.
However, there have been a few missteps and mistimings with the move since Ruca made the jump to Raw after WrestleMania 42, and a secondary finishing move would certainly add something a little extra to the 27-year-old's act. After all, so many wrestlers have several maneuvers that they can win a match with. Just taking a look at a couple of Sol's Raw colleagues as examples, there's new Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, who has her SVB and Baker Inferno, while Becky Lynch has the Manhandle Slam and the Dis-Arm-Her.
