Following recent rumblings that he was on track for a Spring 2026 return to the ring, Will Ospreay shocked the wrestling world by making his hotly-anticipated return at last night's AEW Revolution.

Ospreay was written off TV in August, attacked by the Death Riders in the closing moments of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. In reality, Will needed neck surgery, with questions lingering over his in-ring future. Recent weeks have seen vignettes air, detailing the Aerial Assassin's surgery and recovery, and there was said to be hope that he would be cleared in time for AEW All In this August.

Instead, Will Ospreay made his shock return last night, attacking Jon Moxley and his Death Riders after Mox had retained the Continental Championship against Konosuke Takeshita. Initially, an Ospreay vignette aired, and then the Brit's music hit to a huge pop, as the former International Champion appeared on the stage and made a beeline for the Death Riders, hitting a couple of Hidden Blades and an array of energetic, impressive spots.

Last week saw reports that Will Ospreay had been working out in the ring before AEW shows, and that things were looking "very promising" for Will's return to action. However, few would've predicted Ospreay would've been back and getting physical as soon as Revolution. But no, Will is back, and he's now got his sights firmly on the Death Riders.
