WWE Backlash 2026: 9 Nightmares That Could Come True
6. Bron Breakker’s Push Stalls
Some online seem to have a problem with Bron Breakker pinching his nose and doing his best impression of Seth Rollins, but WWE's scriptwriters haven't gone too far in that direction. In other words, this rivalry isn't quite as comedic as Sami Zayn vs. Trick Williams seems to be, and that's a major plus. It really, really, really doesn't need OTT comedy.
It does, however, need Breakker to come out on the winning end at Backlash.
Nah, there's no harm in losing to someone like Seth normally, but this feels like a crucial period in Bron’s development. WWE either go all in on him or they go 50/50 and he cools off. Hopefully, Triple H has learned his lessons with that sort of thing - he need only look at Oba Femi and Jacob Fatu for both sides of the coin.
Oba is on fire after beating Brock Lesnar, and an 'Open Challenge' gimmick on Raw is already working well to make him look like a proper beast. Meanwhile, Fatu's aura evaporated once he became United States Champion and started feuding with Solo Sikoa. The 'Samoan Werewolf' is only just started to heat back up in 2026.
'The Game' doesn't need that issue with Breakker. Stalling his push just so Rollins can grab an unnecessary PLE win would be foolish. Hell, have Bronson Reed return and help his Vision stablemate beat their former leader. Then, Seth has a reason to get to a steel cage bout (or something similar) on Saturday Night's Main Event or Clash In Italy later this month.
