WWE Backlash 2026: 9 Nightmares That Could Come True
3. Danhausen’s Partner Is A Popcorn Fart Celeb
A FartHausen, you might say!
Danhausen's surprise tag-team partner to fend off The Miz and Kit Wilson probably has to be someone like CM Punk at this point. The Punker has nothing else going on at Backlash, and he’s pals with Danhausen away from the ring anyway, so there’d be immediate chemistry that WWE fans might enjoy.
One thing's for sure: It absolutely can’t be ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, or someone like that. Dan put a curse on Smith, so it wouldn't be outwith the realms of possibility for him to call on a corrupted version of the anchor to fight alongside him here. If that happens, then someone in the creative squad or on TKO's end has been playing a wee bit too much WWE 2K26 and diving into Community Creations.
Seriously though, whilst Smith is a celebrity he isn't over with wrestling fans. People worldwide (especially) would be scratching their heads and wondering why they should care about this guy at all. He isn't even Pat McAfee or Jelly Roll, both of whom have shown they can get physical when the need arises.
Danhausen is doing some sweet stuff in WWE, and he definitely doesn't need some celeb influence weighing him down. Oh yes, CM Punk could be the only viable option to come out and have his spooky little buddy's back. It'd be a slide for Punk after headlining 'Mania, but he'd find a way to make it work.
PunkHausen is the way to go. Not Stephen SmithHausen. Never Stephen SmithHausen.
