Born in Sunderland, James holds a 1st Class degree in Television Production. He ultimately learned his craft in Leeds and London, as a Camera Operator for the BBC and Edit Assisting in various Post-Production Houses, before returning home to the North East. Joining WhatCulture in 2017, James initially came on board as a Video Editor, before his promotion to Film & TV Channel Manager. His film rankings are almost entirely based on how much they make him cry. About Time is his favourite. As well as film, his other hobbies include Musical Theatre, Golf, and Football.
